Autumn Mixed Case
Twelve delicious autumn wines selected by The Bottle of Hastings. The selection begins with two whites from the Loire: X Bulles, Vincent Caillé is a critically acclaimed organic wine with a gently sparkling fizz and a pretty ‘onion skin’ hue. As we start to enjoy cosy suppers and Sunday lunches then great all rounder Tete Blanche, Domaine des Hauts-Baigneux et Les Tètes will always hit the spot - an aromatic, peachy Chenin rich blend that is immensely drinkable.
Guillaume Gonnet, Côtes du Rhône Blanc, Le Revêur is made with biodynamic principles and aged in steel tanks, producing a versatile, charming and fruit forward white that is at its best when it’s not super chilled.
Moving onto the reds we have ‘Lo Sing Del Pais’, Domaine du Cros - autumn in a bottle from Marcillac, a small region in south west France - crisp, crunchy, earthy and rustic with juicy raspberry notes.
Utterly smashable Can do Sil Carballal Can do Sil Red is a Garnacha/Mencia blend from Northern Spain that goes with just about anything or nothing, perfect for sharing on a rainy weekend afternoon.
Finishing with Sincero, Cosimo Maria Masini, San Miniato, a smooth Tuscan blend from a beautiful biodynamic farm in San Miniato, that’s simply crying out for long nights and log fires.
